RAREST OF THE RARE: Dalatiidae indet. from the Late Paleocene (Thanetian)-Early Eocene (Ypresian) of Khouribga, Morocco. This shark used to be described under the name Somniosus crenulatus, however it is now clear that this species belongs to the Kitefin Shark family. You’ll likely never see another one of these specimens again; this is a tooth for the serious collector. Approx. 7/32” long. All natural with no repairs or restoration.

Private Vault specimens are hand-picked from my personal collection, and are stand-out fossils based on exceptional rarity, condition, coloration, etc., or a combination of such traits, making them very difficult to obtain.
