RARE symphyseal (center of jaw) position Otodus obliquus tooth from the Paleocene-Early Eocene (Ypresian) of Khouribga, Morocco. This position one of the rarest to find as in many sharks that have them the teeth don’t often get lost during feeding. This tooth is massive for a symphyseal at approx. 1 1/16” long. Otodus obliquus is evolutionary ancestor to the world-famous Carcharocles megalodon! Unlike the vast majority of Moroccan Otodus teeth, this specimen is all natural with no repairs or restoration
